Piping systems are complex frameworks weaving throughout the industrial complex. A poor design, or a failure, can have catastrophic implications – threatening the safety of employees and resulting in expensive repairs that affect the workflow around the facility.

How Our Process Works

Piping Design

An efficient and safe piping system begins with an intelligent design; providing a piping process that senses and controls the pressure, load, flow rate and temperature of the transmitted fluid or gas.

Everything from piping material to layout to in-line components (such as fittings and valves) must be designed to meet the needs of the facility. AMG uses software such as Intelligent P&ID's, 3-D laser scanning and isometric drawings to create the most effective piping layout and design for your facility.

Overseeing the Construction

After the design phase is complete, our piping designers and engineers coordinate the complex construction process and provide oversight during the implementation of the design. We even help with bid packages and equipment selection to ensure the piping project is successfully implemented.

During the construction phase, our team is on hand to problem solve with construction crews should an unforseen obstacle arise.

Our Piping Checkout Process

To ensure a positive final outcome and proactively guard against potential failures, we perform the following tests as required before declaring a Design/Build project complete:

  • Hydro test
  • Pressure test
  • Problem solve issues with gaskets, welds and valves
  • System cleanout
  • Caustic wash to remove oil, grease and contaminants
  • Detergent flush
  • Acid wash
  • Visual inspection of all tanks and piping
  • Perform system passivation
  • Chemical wash
